Thanks for clicking on my video! Today, I’ll be talking about the 2 methods I used to 3D scan one of the Eggheads at UC Davis. First, I walk through the process of photogrammetry using the Meshroom. Then, I talk about my process trying to scan the Egghead using the LiDAR Scanner on the iPhone 12 Pro Max. The process of photogrammetry is a little tedious, but I think it was well worth the effort. In the end, the model generated in Meshroom has so much detail compared to the iPhone’s LiDAR scan. 3D scanning is definitely super interesting and any future developments in the tech will only make it better and more accurate.
