    @Markaten4 years ago It's great that you have things in hand, I enjoy your shows, I have learned so much watching your shows. I am an ex-British Army soldier myself, I have seen the horror, what governments can do to people, just be mindful the propaganda. I am now the gray man and I will never show my face or Carrie a phone. In a few months, this will come full circle. I would like to say, your shows help a great deal with moral and help us all cope with life in this hard time, well done, keep up the good work and stay safe. PS. Can you please do more, Dior, Poison. as I enjoy them the most. ... 2

    @judithmcquilkin85554 years ago I’ve not met anyone else who has seen that movie. I saw it maybe 30 y ars ago and it has come to mind regularly over the years. I don’t know if there is any preparing for this future as it is unfolding. Thankyou for listening ... 1

    @judithmcquilkin85554 years ago Yes the veneer hides the reality . What is really going on. I’m an “intelligent “ “normal” human so glad of my believes in Christianity . A lot of the conspiracy theories fit with what I believe. So a lot is happening as we are all sensing. It’s hard to see how things could ever go back to as it was. Your conversation is real your feelings are true. It’s good to hear how you are feeling about this . I came to your group /you for the stories and insights for perfume and it increased my enjoyment of perfume. Your views are important and I appreciate your post ...

    @caleb.b.t4 years ago Dacob,
    So glad to be one of the 20 listening ;-)
    I really enjoyed this but I do have some of my own thoughts. I am not sure if we can even say democracy is dying because when was it alive? It seems as though it could have been alive so long ago and now there is an 'always already' aspect to "democracy" in that the common people are only given the illusion to choice but are in actuality consumer slaves for those in power. I am honestly not getting the same 'dark' vibe that you are from the situation, though. Yes, somewhat dark, but not maybe as much as you (though I do appreciate your perspective). My sister works for a major railway company in the U.S. and she was telling me how annoyed she was seeing all of the misinformation on social media about the militarily equipment being transferred (this stuff is happening everyday but only makes it a hot topic on Facebook during a crisis...) Needless to say you are spot on about the media. And, of course, they are profiting off of this situation so much which is sickening. In my experience, life has not changed much besides courses being moved to online. I can say, in Shanghai, still able to freely go out and people are still quite cautious. I've found that I need to go out for fresh air and a walk once or twice a day and I cannot imagine not even being allowed to leave the house except for absolute necessities (what is necessary deemed by the government...). For me, fresh air and exercise are necessities... It is scary, as you said, how quickly things can actually change in times like these. Americans have seen that drug prices actually can be affordable, etc.
    I also really appreciated your perspective about 'money'. It really made me stop and think of my own life. I am privileged in that I am able to attend an amazing university, travel, shop for outrageously overpriced material goods, and more... all thank to MONEY... Then, you pointed out the idea of how individualism is what kills us. Totally agree. I had to stop and even have the thoughts myself, for example, about designer items. I have such a love for designer clothes, shoes, bags... but is some of my love for them their "rarity" and that I am able to spend my money and maybe not others? Mind you, I am aware that these things are mass produced, however, there is still some heir of exclusivity in being able to afford Graff's diamonds or Hermes' bags. I do feel a since of security, confidence, and happiness when purchasing these things. While I don't have a need to showoff to the world what I have purchased, I can I not help but be human and revel in the fact that not every cat and dog has this? I would be lying if I said no, and it makes me stop and think about my desires to own such commodities that are given such a high value. It's a weird feeling.. I don't feel I am better than anyone else because of the money I am able to spend, but still I guess it sounds like it as I am typing it out. Mind you, I'm not getting offered la carte Hermes exotic bags or getting couture fittings... so there is even another whole world above me..
    Anyways, thank you so much for these podcasts. This one was great to listen to on my walk <3
