@bertrambolsingbruel38294 years agoOml, this is a big change. There's always been bottlenecks in regard to tree-farming, but with this we finally have the last nail in the coffin. First we item transporting, secondly tnt-duping, thirdly automated bonemeal (any auto food farm + composter) and now auto-sapling planting. But for the first time if you put it all together, you need exactly 0% player interaction, but a machine that can spit out logs (albeit only fungus) like something out of modded Minecraft. Big interesting day. ...101

I used your 1.14 flowerfarm design and modified it to get a little over 1000 bonemeal (16 stacks) per hour. I posted a somewhat better explanation in the comment section of your snapshot video from yesterday. ...67

@
@AlexandreGuiavarch4 years agoThat's actually the first time that I am more satisfied with my own design than ilmango's one... I didn't do a video about it, but here the principle: All redstone under the first log, 2 dispenser + one piston on a quick pulse pointing on the potential log. With 3 bonemeal + piston activated after with update order, this mostly grow the fungus (not every time, but it's super fast so a little waste on bone meal) When a tree grow, I detect it using 2 light sensor block placing system (one for night and one for day), and a simple piston graber to put the bottom log one block upper diagonally (we can't push all the logs up) This allows me to have a piston wall running just above the dispensers, since all the restone is lower. The only blocks when the flying machine pass on the top are dispensers and extended pistons. With this I don't have to deal with weird tree placements ;) ...2

@arthaiser4 years agovery cool ilmango, as soon as i saw the snapshot yesterday i knew that today i was going to see this farm, but i was expecting a monstrosity of a machine, this one is actually easy to make and quite efficient. is cool that in the future we are going to also see the 100% autonomous one that sorts all the items and all of that, but this design is great for someone like me that maybe only needs to have some logs here and there. ...

@
@alexanderlea78824 years agoIlmango, the nylium turning into netherrack issue can be solved by simply putting a nylium block next the nylium you're farming the crimson trees on. If it's turned to netherrack then when the dispenser bone meals it will instantly turn it to nylium again :) It costs an extra bone meal, so it is better to stay away from the farm but it'll still be bone meal positive with all the nether wart blocks you're composting. I hope this helps anyone trying to fix that issue! ...

@spike49724 years agoThis has me more excited than any farm has in a while. If this doesn’t get nerfed then this is going in my spawn chunks with some kind of composting bonemeal generator to fuel it as soon as the full version releases. Between my iron farm, cobblestone generator, slime farm, and witch farm, I have everything for most Redstone supplies automated completely afk no clicker script. Adding wood to that for pistons and chests with this would be amazing. And if I can get some auto-trader sorted out with piglins to automate quartz then I can do basically all of my resource collection afk. Even dispensers because the sticks from the witch farm and string from a spider farm. 1.16 is a super exciting release. I’m pumped for it ...
